Super Mario 64 is a 3D platform game for the Nintendo 64. Released in 1996, it is first game in the Mario franchise to feature third-dimensional gameplay.
Super Mario 64 is acclaimed to be one of the greatest video games of all time, and still continues to have an active playerbase thanks to community-made ROM hacks.
Perhaps one of Vinny's most well-known streams is his corruption stream for Super Mario 64, where he corrupts the game's ROM and attempts to play in it. He made many jokes in the stream, such as Mario having Terminal 7, which became a meme on its own.
Joel also streamed the game. One popular stream was his playthrough of a ROM hack involving a wheelchair Mario and frequently encountering the message "Shoutout to SimpleFlips".
Joel would later play Super Joel 64, a ROM hack made by sitkinator reskinning the game with Joel references and memes.
